The HPH-1000 Potato Digger harvester matches medium and small tractors for supporting use. It can finish full-process operations including potato ridge digging, soil screening and tuber conveying in one single pass. Replacing manual potato digging work, it greatly improves harvesting efficiency and is suitable for large-scale potato planting and harvesting on open farmlands.

Advantages of Core Structures in Potato Harvesting (Compared with Ordinary Harvesters)

1. Thickened Three-Point Hitch Frame vs Thin Simple Hitch of Ordinary Machines
Low-cost ordinary harvesters mostly adopt thin steel plate hitches, while our thick triangular steel frame brings prominent strengths:
  1. Higher load-bearing capacity & durability. The thickened frame resists deformation; it will not crack or twist after long working on bumpy hard soil. Thin frames on regular harvesters deform easily under heavy load, causing uneven digging and massive potato loss.
  2. Wide tractor compatibility. Standard universal three-point hitch fits most small and medium tractors without refitting. Non-standard simple hitches only match specific tractor models with poor versatility.
  3. Stable field operation. Rigid triangular connection eliminates violent shaking, keeping consistent digging depth. Flimsy ordinary hitches swing severely during work, leaving many tubers unharvested.
2. Double Disc Soil Cutters vs Single Disc / Shovel-Type Harvesters Without Discs
Most cheap small harvesters only have one disc or just digging shovels with no soil-loosening discs:
  1. Thorough ridge loosening. Dual discs cut soil on both sides of potato ridges simultaneously, breaking compacted soil clods and roots to release tubers completely. Single-disc models only loosen soil on one side, leaving clods wrapped around potatoes and increasing separation difficulty.
  2. Lower tuber skin damage rate. Smooth rotating discs cut soil and weeds without scratching potato skins. Shovel-only machines often slice and crack tubers, causing huge loss of marketable potatoes.
  3. Adjustable row spacing. The distance between two disc hubs can be modified to fit different planting widths. Fixed simple discs on regular harvesters cannot adapt to changed ridge sizes.
3. Multi-Layer Vibrating Rod Conveyor Chain vs Single-Layer Thin Wire Screens of Ordinary Harvesters
Conventional harvesters only install single-layer thin wire screens, inferior to our multi-layer metal rod vibrating conveyor:
  1. Cleaner soil-tuber separation. Graded multi-layer vibration lets fine soil fall back to fields step by step; harvested potatoes carry little mud and require no secondary manual cleaning. Single-layer screens fail to remove mud thoroughly, increasing post-harvest processing costs.
  2. Low failure rate without tuber jamming. Uniform gaps between thick round metal rods smoothly transport all sizes of potatoes without blockage. Narrow gaps of thin wire screens trap small tubers and break easily, requiring frequent shutdown maintenance.
  3. Anti-collision buffer for intact potatoes. Gentle vibration enables slow rolling transportation with no high-drop impact. Simple conveyors lack buffer design, leading to bruises and black spots from potato collision and degrading commercial value.
4. Sealed Orange Gearbox + Large Walking Rubber Wheels vs Exposed Chain Drive & Narrow Small Wheels on Ordinary Harvesters
Most budget harvesters use exposed chain transmission and tiny narrow wheels:
  1. Longer service life of drive system. Fully sealed gearbox blocks mud, water and weeds from internal gears. Exposed chains on regular machines easily tangle weeds, rust and break, requiring cleaning and maintenance before & after every use.
  2. Stable low-loss power transmission. Gear drive delivers high power efficiency and steady screening vibration even on heavy clay soil. Chain drive slips frequently with power loss, weakening separation performance under heavy soil loads.
  3. Better trafficability on wet fields. Widened thick large rubber wheels have bigger ground contact area to avoid sinking into soft mud. Small narrow wheels on ordinary harvesters easily get stuck in damp soil and halt harvesting.
  4. Precise adjustable digging depth. Multiple depth adjustment gears on walking wheels accurately control digging depth to avoid excess soil intake or tuber loss. Simple wheels on standard harvesters have few adjustment gears with poor depth control precision.
