It integrates side deep fertilization, standard ridge forming, drip tape installation, automatic mulch laying, precise duckbill punching seeding and automatic hole backfilling. No manual film tearing or secondary soil covering is required, thoroughly solving labor shortages in potato farms. Most potato planters on the market seed before mulching. Trapped sprouts under sealed film get easily burnt by high temperature, and farms have to hire workers to manually cut mulch and refill holes with extra soil, pushing up labor expenses per mu.
The Model HPP-2S Potato Plant Machine adopts a reversed combined operation process. One single tractor pass completes all planting steps in sequence:
- Ridge shapers till soil and form standard 200 mm high ridges;
- Drip tape reels lay irrigation lines simultaneously to deliver water and fertilizer directly to tuber roots for water-saving yield growth;
- Mulch laying frames spread plastic film automatically, with side press wheels covering film edges with soil to fix mulch tightly against ridges;
- Rear duckbill seeding units pierce the mulch vertically and place seed tubers at accurate depth;
- Mini backfill shovels refill and seal seeding holes instantly.
No manual film cutting or secondary soil covering is needed after one pass. Seedlings grow naturally through reserved duckbill holes, eliminating two labor-intensive working procedures and greatly cutting farm labor costs.
