The HYZP-2 Pineapple Transplanter is used to transplant Pineapple with high efficiency and accuracy.  It is suitable for Pineapple Seedling between 10-25cm , and plant into the Seedling bed uniformly with 30cm-80cm Row space.

The Pineapple Transplanter is also called Ananas comosus Transplanter.  It can improve the planting efficiency with 3-4 times, and save 50% working labour cost.

The Pineapple industry is a traditional characteristic industry in my country’s tropical and subtropical regions, and an important local agricultural pillar industry, with a planting area of ​​more than 1 million acres in China.

Currently, in addition to land preparation, pineapple field production is basically manual work. The degree of mechanization is low, the labor intensity is high, and the production cost is extremely high.  This greatly increases the risk of pineapple planting, seriously restricts the substitution and upgrading of mid-to-high-end pineapple varieties, and reduces the production cost of pineapples.  This has improved the international competitiveness of our country’s pineapples.  Accelerating the research and development and application of mechanized pineapple planting technology and equipment is a necessary measure to enhance the competitiveness of the pineapple industry and revitalize the economy of pineapple producing areas.

In order to promote the mechanization of the whole process of pineapple production, research on mechanical transplanting technology on membrane specifically for Taiwanese varieties has been launched since 2021. After many  improvements, the system has systematically solved the problems of large seedling transplanting on membrane, such as multiple membrane breaks, many fallen seedlings, and Technical problems such as inter-row interference, stuck seedlings, unstable planting depth and plant spacing, and difficulty in covering with film have made the equipment increasingly mature.

Field production applications show that this machine adopts the mechanized wide and narrow double row ridge planting mode, combined with standardized trimming of pineapple seedlings, and the planting pass rate is stable at more than 94%.  The average wide row spacing is 0.90 meters and the narrow row spacing is 0.50 meters on average. A single load Fertilizer is 200kg, and the maximum single load of pineapple seedlings is 1,500. The main technical indicators generally meet the requirements for all elements of production and operation. This field planting uses a 4-person operation team, including 1 tractor driver, 2 seedling delivery operators, and 1 person to follow the truck to repair leaks. The pure work production efficiency is 1.2 acres/h, compared with the single-person planting efficiency of 1 acres/day. The efficiency of mechanized planting is about 3 to 4 times that of pure manual work, and it can reduce labor intensity by about 50%.

Through the first field production application, the entire process and the configuration of various elements of mechanized pineapple planting were further clarified, laying a good foundation for accelerating the transformation and implementation of technological achievements and promoting the full mechanization of pineapple production in the reclamation area.
