FAQ 

Do you split garlic bulbs before planting?

Break apart cloves from the bulb a few days before planting, but keep the papery husk on each individual clove，so that it grow fast after proper planting. Usually People break the bulb by hand, which takes much time and labor. But it damages fingers a lot and is much painful.  Especially when you plant large area garlic farm, the bulb splitting is a tough and time-costing work.

However, with the HGS-600 Garlic Splitter and Clove Sorter, it will break apart cloves from the bulb gently and not damage the papery husk on cloves. You do not have to break the Garlic Bulbs slowly and costly.   The Garlic Splitter is using high standard rubber rollers to break the garlic bulb. The roller has the performance of high flexibility, antifriction and stretch-proof.

Why do you Split garlic cloves?

Each head or bulb of garlic is cracked or opened to release the individual cloves for planting. Each clove, once planted, will grow into a mature garlic plant. Do garlic bulbs multiply?

Garlic is easy to grow and requires very little space in the field. Garlic grows from individual cloves broken off from a whole bulb. Each clove will multiply in the ground, forming a new bulb that consists of 5-10 cloves. To help Garlic Farmers break individual cloves from the whole bulb, the HGS-600 Garlic Bulb Breaker is designed to do break bulbs with great performance. It can break the whole Garlic Bulbs to complete cloves at 1-2 tons per hour.  10-15 days manual Garlic bulb splitting work can be finished within only one day.

The working principle of the Garlic Bulb Separating machine is using high standard Silicone Mill to break the garlic bulb. The Silicone Mill is our patented product,  which is made of Food-grade Silicone.  It has two pieces , Up and Down Silicone Mill. There are pits on both Silicone Mills.  The Garlic bulbs are cracked efficiently by rotating silicone mills and papery skins are keeping properly.

Bulb Separating Performance

After pick garlics,  some are hung in a drying room and then put in a room with a dehumidifier.  Therefore, before cracking the Bulbs, you may need to cut off Garlic Root to crack bulbs easier.
